Softer fur; less itchies, January 16, 2012

This order arrived last week. I washed the dog once with the Kalaya Emu Oil Moisturizing Shampoo. I was sure to follow the directions and leave it on for 5 minutes before rinsing. Before the dog was fully dry her fur was definitely softer.

I used the Kalaya Emu Oil Moisturizing Spray immediately following the bath (all over) and each morning thereafter on the itchy areas and itching/chewing/scratching has decreased. Our dog has a systemic yeast infection and dry winter skin so she is normally quite itchy.

This product costs a fraction of the one we usually order, yet the results are much more impressive. Will be sticking with this shampoo and spray.

Awesome Shampoo For Itchy Dogs, January 17, 2011

This was my first time to try this shampoo and I love it for my Shih Tzu’s allergy problems which we have been battling for a while now. I’ve tried many other shampoos (many from Amazon) and this is the best. It’s very gentle for sensitive skin and they also make a skin spray that is even better at controlling the itchiness. Will definitely be reordering!

Kalaya Emu Oil Shampoo seems to work well for my Westie. He still has skin issues – but not from dry skin.

It burns, May 22, 2011

I bought this item for my dog at PETCO. I saw oatmeal written on it ,and I assumed that it must be a good product. I bathed my dog with this item. I put on some gloves and still managed to get some on my face. It burned like hell. After thoroughly washing my dog with this and rinsing her off with cold water, it looked like she was really clean. However, at night my dog began barking, wanting to go outside. I had to get up like 10 times during the night, so I thought my dog was bugging me for no reaon. Suffice to say, I touched her and her coat was on fire.It seemed like she had a fever, that’s how warm she was.I would definitely not use this product. Sure it might kill fleas, but at what expense to your dogs health?

Great for killing fleas, not repelling them, December 16, 2010

Although this shampoo is great at killing all fleas on contact, it does not kill flea eggs for 28 days like it claims. After bathing our dog with this, he will stay flea free until the moment he steps outside… then it’s a flea infestation all over again; so I bathe him about twice a week. This in no way repels fleas, but then again, that’s not what shampoos are for.

It does leave his hair (he’s a hairless Chinese Crested) shiny and soft but the smell is nothing great and a bit generic.

This is a wonderful shampoo…I have tried many, many kinds, and this is one of the best ever. It rinses off quickly, and leaves my dogs smelling wonderful. I will definitely be ordering again!
